Jason's Blog - Scrapbooking with a Celebrity

Hey everyone, One of the ladies at Rusty Pickle called today out of the blue and told us that Lance would like to teach a class at our store in September. That's right Mr. Pickle himself, is coming to little ol magnolia Texas to visit that store with all the wonderful talented customers. We're making a cool mini album with all the bells and whistles. He's charging around $50 per person but how often do we get to scrapbook with a celebrity. I haven't picked out the kit we're doing yet but I narrowed it down to a pink pop up book or a black and white pop star book. Email me with your suggestion allaboutcrafts@att.net it would help me out allot.
Don't forget the American Art Stamp Co. trunk show this Sunday. The stamps have already arrived at the store and are 30% off. Get them while you can. We are doing an all day stamp class where you will make some cards and play with some products. Hope to see you there.

Jason's Blog - Decorative Picture Frames

Deco Podge and Collage is a great way to clean out your scrap bin. Any scrap small or large will work for this technique. The only other supplies you will need is some mod-podge or yes paste, inks for shading, and a brush to apply the glue. I like to paint the surface first with matching acrylic paint. Then, I tear the paper, ink the edges, and glue it to the surface layer by layer, add some stamps, perfect pearls, crackle paint, stickles, embossing powder, glimmer mist, rhinestones, flowers, ribbon, button or what ever else you have in your stash. Just make sure the glue is applied all the way to the edges so they don't peel up. Here are some photos of some picture frames I made using some of my favorite scrap paper, distress ink, tim holtz masks, crackle paint and so on. I cut 5 pages for the middle to add more interest and photos to the project.

We are doing this project on the 11th and 22nd. The cost is $15 and we will be making 2 of them while we play with some fun products. Feel free to bring your own scraps that will match your homes decor, but if not, we will give everyone a paper allowance at the class for paper. There is no need to bring anything else to the class but feel free to.

Jason's Blog - American Art Stamp Co.

The American Art Stamp Co. Trunk Show July 26th Free Stamp Class.
Here are some cards made using American art Stamp Co. stamps. Look at the first one, it says on Dasher, on Dancer, on Master and Visa. The second card is stamped on a transparency. The third card is hard to see in the photo, but the wreathe is cut out and mounted with pop up squares. number 4 has stickles on the bird's wings. the fifth card is also hard to see in the photo, but the gifts are covered with glossy accents and so is the turkey on card 7. I will update when we get the stamps in. I can't wait!!!

We're having another free stamping class on July 26th all day. American Art Stamp Co. has selected us to host their trunk show, so they are sending us allot of stamps to sell at the show. The stamps will be in a few days before the show so you can get them before everyone else. The left over stamps have to be sent back so get them while you can. I'll let yall know when they come in. The theme is Christmas in July. I'm going to use this oppertunity to start my Christmas Cards early, so I' can have more fun making them goddy and obsess over them like always and maybe even send them out this year.
